A striking vintage ceramic ginger jar with a richly mottled tortoiseshell glaze in deep brown, ochre and touches of mossy green. The traditional lidded form is offset by the wonderfully irregular, almost painterly glaze, giving the piece an earthy, collected character.
Beautiful displayed alone or incorporated into a grouping of ceramics and natural objects.
Dimensions: approximately 10” H
Vintage condition with natural variations to the glaze and age-related wear.
